Hello Autumn...

I woke up in the morning feeling much better than I did over the last few days. It looks like now that Autumn is officially here, and the weather is getting more and more stable, my body got somewhat used to the fact that Summer is over and it's time to move on now.

By now, you will all know how much of a summer person I am. I feel pretty depressed when I'm cold, when there is no sun, only rain and wind. I need a lot of clothes to keep me warm during the colder months and lots of hot tea and shortbread.

However, there are also a few ( just a few things ) about Autumn and Winter that I like, just because in Summer they are not the best things to do...

I love burning candles all around my flat on dark, grey days when everything you can do is just sit at home, stay warm and watch TV or read a book. Scented candles from Yankee Candle or WoodWick candles are my favourite ones ( this reminds me of the fact that I should order myself a new WoodWick sometime soon actually!).

Another nice thing is getting to sit in my office. The thing with my office is that it is surrounded by windows that go from the floor, up to the ceiling, thus during summer it gets incredibly hot in here, so I only go there just to take something or bring something back really and it is actually a spot in my flat I really love and that I really wanted to make pretty and cosy. Now, during the colder months it also gets pretty chilly in here, but I always have a soft blanket with me that I can wrap around my body, I will have a cup of tea and I can sit all night long and study ( or watch series.).
And now that I also have my little buddy here with me I took one of her towels and put it under the desk along with her favourite toy and she was sleeping on my feet this afternoon when I was studying. SO CUTE. ( She likes to jump into the bin and rummage around there, so I need to make sure it's always empty, but apart from that she's a great buddy!

And the most important thing about chilly days and nights is EARL GREY TEA! Omg how I love having a hot cup of tea with some sugar and lemon inside. This has to be by far my favourite drink and it makes me a bit sad that during summer it is just too hot to drink tea a few times daily.
With my Earl Grey tea I love having some biscuits, like Digestives or Shortbread.

Let me know why you like Autumn! :)

My Favourite Body Lotions (Ziaja, Soap&Glory, Moschino & Garnier)

Ok guys. Now that I started studying 20 minutes ago, it came to my mind that I didn't write a new blog post in two weeks ( though I filmed another video), and that it is the perfect moment to do so now.
So, now I'm sitting here, blogging instead of revising for my exams. Oh well.

Summer is nearly over and even though I didn't get as tanned as I wanted to, I still was out in the sun a lot and after the summer months I feel like you can tell that your skin is a bit dry.
Also, to keep your tan for a bit longer, a good idea is moisturising!

So, this post is about my daily after-shower-routine really. I'll talk you through my four favourite body lotions and oils and I hope you'll already know some of them and agree with my opinion.

Firstly, I wanted to mention the Ziaja Cocoa Butter body lotion that I've been using quite a while now.
I love the minimalistic design of it. It's white, simple and it matches my bathroom well ( I never thought I would care about such things, but well, now I do.)
I also wrote about this incredible body lotion in this post, which is why I don't want to talk too much about it now.
The things I really like about this product is obviously the beautiful cocoa butter smell- it gives you the impression of having a really good pamper session and the smell just stays on for so, so long!
Secondly, I usually use this after taking a shower. I spread the lotion all over my body and then my skin is glowy, silky smooth and it feels so hydrated straight away!
And finally, when I get up in the morning my skin is still as soft as it was before bed-time, though I still like to apply some more on my legs when I'm about to leave the house with my legs on display.
I like the shiny, glowy look of freshly moisturised legs, it somehow makes them look so firm and tanned.

Another great thing about the big Ziaja body lotions is that they come with a pump and this is the best invention ever! You don't squeeze out too much product, you don't need to hold the packaging with your greasy hands and this is really such a great thing!

The second lotion comes from Soap&Glory and this has to be my favourite skin care brand!

The retro design of every product, the amazing, unique scents and the crazy names of the products are just so special! Even though Soap&Glory is more on the pricey side, I still can't walk out of the aisle without buying a thing or two. ( At least that was the case back in the UK- in Vienna it's very difficult to find Soap&Glory and if you do, you find about 5 products at a ridiculously high price. Very disappointing,)
Soap&Glory is pretty much the opposite of Ziaja. Though I love both brands ( the good thing is that Ziaja is already available everywhere in Vienna).

The Butter Yourself moisture lotion contains shea butter, orange waterjuice, fig pulp extracts and almond, mango & moringa oils. It really is so, so moisturising and the smell is insane! It's so intense and therefore stays on for ages as well.
What I find interesting about Soap&Glory is that the scents always remind me of perfumes for men? I absolutely love this because it reminds me of Eryk and the first Soap&Glory products I ever got from him.
Soap&Glory also did an amazing job with the 500ml bottle and a pump ( I give another + for the pink packaging!), the lotion goes a very long way, it somehow seems to never finish. But I already had one before and I remember that it too take me absolute ages to finish off, which is amazing. I love it when great products last long. Who doesn't?!
The body lotion was included in the Soap&Glory Christmas box from 2 years ago and I hope that this year I will somehow manage to get another one because it is such a bargain and you get a box of products that will last you for the next two or three years and then you end up with so much stuff that you don't even know what to do with it really. But hey, I love Soap&Glory ( Hint for everyone who doesn't know what to give me for Christmas or my birthday :D ).

The third body lotion for today is quite a recent addition to my skincare stash. I got it from my mum for my birthday back in April and she also got me the matching perfume, which is my favourite at the moment.
The Moschino Chic Petals body lotions smells just as good as the perfume itself, it's great for days when you don't feel like wearing perfume but you still want to smell pretty.
The lotion is very liquidy and I can tell that one drop of the lotion is enough to hydrate one arm. Which is good I guess.
I like the girly design of the tube, with the golden letters and the flowers on both sides. It is expensive but it's another great gift idea in my opinion. The perfume and lotion make a good team and ensure you smell amazing during the whole day!
I obviosuly don't use this lotion on a daily basis because I don't really want to use it all too quickly, so this is my "special-occasion-lotion".

And the last product for today is the Garnier Body Ultimate Beauty oil. I didn't like the idea of body oils until I got this one I have to say.

This oil is such a weird product really. You spray it on, massage it into your skin and then it gets absorbed and it doesn't feel like you ever put oil on your skin? Except that your body is SO smooth and it looks beautiful and healthy. The oil gives your skin moisture, the skin looks illuminated, it's immediately radiant and satin-like. It's so soft that you won't get enough of stroking your own legs. The oil costs around 6 Euros I believe and it is so worth trying!
The only thing that bothers me about it is that when you spray it onto one leg for example, then you massage it in and then you need to spray again, your hand is sliding off the pump and the whole bottle gets messy. But I guess this is just a general issue with body oils. Still worth buying!

Since I probably have Psoriasis my skin is shedding non-stop really and it tends to just look white if I don't use moisturisers on a daily basis.
Therefore those 4 products are my absolute life savers and I will definitely repurchase them once I use them up.

Let me know if you've used any of the products and what your impressions are!

How To Look After Thick, Long Hair (+video)

Caring for my hair takes up a lot of time in my life and since I get questions about it very, very often I thought I would finally film a short video where I explain how my hair routine looks like.

Check out the video here!

My shampoo is the Smooth and Sleek one by Pantene Pro-V and I'm pretty sure this is the one I've been already using half of my life! It is definitely the best for my hair, I never have any issues with it and you can get it literally everywhere too.
The conditioner I started using very recently is the new L'Oreal Elvital from the Clay range and after the first use I could already tell that it's amazing!

Once a week I like using the Goldwell Kerasilk mask because especially during summer our hair gets damaged quickly and needs some extra moisture and love. This mask is seriously my life saver and I will be devastated once I will run out of it. It leaves my hair so, so soft even though it is so difficult to achieve this result for me! It also looks beautiful and smells pretty too! The only problem is that you can't get it in drugstores and therefore it is also rather expensive.
Before I blow dry my hair I leave my hair in a towel for around an hour so all the excess water can get out. Then I spritz my hair with the amazing TRESemme Keratin Smooth heat protectant that I got back in Scotland and I just love it! Such a shame we don't have TRESemme in Austria because I definitely need to stock up on it again!

Another gadget I use on my hair is the Compact Styler from TangleTeezer. I can't leave the house without it because my long hair just gets tangled within minutes, so I have to brush it around 3 times daily I guess. This brush is small, beautiful and so, so good! I know it's pricey, but I thought that since it's something I really needed and that I use on a daily basis, I could spend the money on it without feeling guilty.
A normal brush doesn't detangle my hair at all pretty much, so this is the only option I have!

I really like having long hair even though it's such a hassle sometimes. I want to get a haircut as soon as possible to be honest because my ends are already dry and I definitely don't want to have split ends.

(In case you wonder- my cute top is from Forever21 and my shorts are from TkMaxx)

Hope you enjoyed the video and this post!
Let me know in the comments! :)

My OOTD: City Centre Walk

Another day off, another day exploring.

We woke up to some beautiful sunshine, let Maya out of the cage, had a slow morning and decided to head into the city centre to get to know new places.

Once we arrived in the 1st district of Vienna, we quickly made our way through the busy streets towards the small, unknown paths. There we felt so relaxed. These places are so quiet, nobody is stressed, everyone is in a good mood. It's perfect for a summer day walk.

We were wandering around for about three hours, then went to grab some Chinese noodles that we both absolutely love and finally headed home. I have to say that we are really exhausted after today's trip, but we surely enjoyed it a lot!

This is actually the best photo where you can see my whole outfit- I'm wearing;
white crop top - New Yorker
navy, red & white striped skirt - Forever21
cream sandals - Forever21
sunglasses - Love Moschino
red leather satchel - Vigneron

Hope you enjoyed the photos!
I'd love it if you checked out my latest vlog HERE as well! :)

Have a nice day! :)

My OOTD: Day At The Military Museum

Today I had a day off again and it's a beautiful, sunny, hot summer day that I really didn't want to spend at home. A few days ago I was looking for places to explore since Eryk is in Vienna finally again, and I found this Military Museum, and because Eryk is very much into such things I thought we would go and have some fun.
As I mentioned above, it was really hot and the way to this museum was so long and tiring that I thought we wouldn't even make it there. But we arrived eventually and started exploring all the exhibitions, which were very interesting. I felt like we looked through everything quickly, without making too long stops, but then again I'm not sure if me maybe missed something- but according to the plan we saw it all.

After the visit to the museum we were so hungry that we went for some Chinese noodles that were just so delicious! With full bellies we quickly went to H&M and then off home we went.

So, to finish off this quick post, here's what I wore- one of my go-to-outfits for days when I really don't know what to wear.
-floral off-the-shoulder top - H&M
-button-up A-line skirt - Forever21 ( I wear it to work constantly! It somehow goes with any top, any day, any occasion :D )

-red leather satchel - Vigneron
-sunglasses - Love Moschino

-cream sandals - Forever21 ( They look cool, are very simple so they go with most outfits and they are comfy too- what else do you need?)

Behind me you can see the beautiful museum in the 3rd district in Vienna. I actually have to say that I've never seen this place before and I was rather fascinated.

And of course, here's me and Eryk posing like tourists :D
His t-shirt is from Forever21, shorts are H&M and shoes are Nike, in case someone would like to know.

And also, my lipstick is Nr 12 from the Velvet Matte range by Golden Rose- my favourite one!

I've heard that the weather tomorrow is supposed to be worse than today so we'll see what we will be doing, but for now it's relax time!
Have a nice weekend everyone! :)

My OOTD: A Day At The Zoo With Eryk

Hi guys!
Today is such a beautiful day that Eryk and I decided to go to the zoo. He's never been to the one in Vienna before and I just thought it is a nice place to go to on a sunny day.
We are now totally exhausted after about 5 hours of walking and seeing all the animals there.
After that we also went for a drink and now it's time to relax.

Due to the high temperatures I went for my new shorts from TkMaxx that I also already showed in this post
My white plain cami top is from Zara and I really like the delicate ribbed structure it has. It's a very floaty top and goes with any bottoms really, which is what I find cool.
And to carry around all my things I chose my red leather satchel from Vigneron. I absolutely adore this beautiful bag and whenever I am out of the house when I'm not at uni or at work, I will try to take this bag out.
My sandals are from Forever21 and I had to choose my shoes wisely today because I knew we'd be walking for hours- and I chose the right pair!
My sunglasses are by Love Moschino and they are my faves!

Eryk was trying to hide from that tourist selfie, but it didn't quite work out. :D

Waiting for the lights to turn green- that's how tired we were after this exciting day out.

Hope you all had a nice day too! :)

New Closet Staple - Denim Shorts

Hello everybody!
After a rather long break of not posting at all, due to too many work days, I'm now back with a post I decided to do spontaneously.
On Tuesday, which was rainy and grey, like most of the week was, I made my way to TkMaxx, which unfortunately is pretty far from where I live. I still decided to use that day instead of just sit at home and watch some series on repeat.
And I'm so glad I went! I haven't bought a lot, but just a few things that I actually like a lot - just like these denim shorts.

You will know by now that I am very much the skirt/ dress- person and I don't really like wearing tight shorts that make your thighs want to explode the second you sit down. I love skirts for being so comfy, so recently I even threw out all my old denim shorts I had in my closet, because I thought it was useless keeping them if I don't even wear them more than once a year. I mean, some of them were just sitting on the shelf without being worn in like 3 years.

So, when I first saw these ragged, denim shorts with the cute white flowers around the legholes and the front pockets I thought: Ok, this might even be an option. I decided to try them on and I instantly fell in love with them!
They fit me perfectly, even though they could be a teeny bit more high waisted than they are, but I thought they would still look nice with a cute blouse or a plain crop top. So, off I went to the cashier and now I own denim shorts again- but this time I really like them!

They are pretty light, with this washed-out look, they have some cuts underneath the front pockets, and as I mentioned before, the cute flowers. The back of them is very plain, with two pockets too, which I'm happy about. What I only realised when I first wore them out is that they are shorter than I initially thought- they just cover my bum cheeks really when I walk.
Now, they are kind of cute and kind of sexy at the same time.

To finish off my outfit on this hot day today ( we didn't experience any heat in over a week in Vienna, and I already panicked that summer was over), I chose this baby blue sleeveless crop top that I recently got from Primark. ( I'm so sad this was the only colour I've seen because I love this top so much!)
I love how the blue looks on a tan and it just matches the shorts so well I think. It's a simple yet cool outfit.

I'm sure I will wear these shorts a lot until summer ends, and hopefully next year they will be just as nice as they are now! :)

What do you think about them?? Let me know! :)

PS: Now I'm gonna start editing my vlog because in the evening Eryk and Maya are arriving in Vienna and I just can't wait!!

July Beauty Favourites

I was sitting on my sofa, sipping my tea and I realised that I didn't write about any "Favourites" in months, so I decided to quickly grab my camera and do that now because this month I have some new exciting things to show you that I absolutely loved using throughout the whole month.

I collected favourites from make-up, skin care, as well as hair care, so let's get straight into it.

Starting off with hair, I picked one special product that I finally wanted to review. In December I received a little parcel from Goldwell with a shampoo and a hair mask that suit my hair perfectly. I was using the shampoo straight away and I absolutely loved it. However, due to all the uni stress and the terrible lack of time for myself, I never got to try out the mask until May or June I would say. And since I went swimming and tanning a lot throughout July, I decided to use the mask once a week to keep my hair silky smooth and healthy. And OMG, I am so in love with it! The mask contains keratin and liquid silk, which pretty much already explains why the hair looks amazing after this treatment.
My hair has a rather rough structure, so it never is too smooth and it tends to be frizzy, but after using this mask, it is just so smooth and silky that I can't stop touching it. It's a professional salon product so I'm not sure whether you can buy it in any drugstore, but I know some shops that sell hair products, so I guess this is where you can get this from.

Next on: skin care!
These three products are real live savers in summer.
We all know that when it's so hot you just want to spend the days by the pool or seaside but unfortunately you also want to have nicely shaved legs at any time to do so. Well, the shaving gel from Balea is totally worth trying! I never used shaving gels before because I felt like using a bit of shower gel or conditioner was just as good, but oh boy was I wrong. I once saw the shaving gel in the DM drugstore and it's so small that I thought it would be nice to take away on holidays and I just grabbed it very spontaneously. And since that day I've been using it every time I am shaving. You just squeeze a pea-sized amount onto your skin, spread it around and then you are ready to shave, which now takes only a minute and after the whole procedure you are left with beautiful looking shaved skin, without any irritations or redness- amazing!

After tanning, showering and shaving I am using my Ziaja cocoa butter body lotion, which smells like heaven and the best thing about it is that it soaks in so quickly, your skin is so moisturised that you still feel like you've just put on the lotion the day after and because of its huge bottle it will last you so many months! I already shared my opinion about Ziaja's body lotions on my blog before and I suggest you go over to this post to read some more about them! :)

And a recent discovery, and also a new product on the market is the cooling mist from Ziaja that I got in Poland. There are two different ones available- one is I think one without any scent, and the one I bought smells of menthol and lemon pretty much. You can use these on your face, body as well as your hair, which makes it even better! I love having this in my bag on hot summer days to cool down and to add some fresh smell to your body. I absolutely love body mists in summer because they are so light weight and are a great alternative to perfume. Plus, they are obviously much, much cheaper ;)

And now over to the last three things - Make-up!
I love Golden Rose lip products ( and nail polish). Everytime I stand by their counter I am so stressed because I can never decide on what to buy. By now I got three of their Velvet Matte lipsticks and I also have a few bottles of nail polish.
Two of my favourites of July are the lipstick and the matching lip liner in probably my favourite lip colour. The lipstick is Nr 14 ( I also have Nr 12, which is very similar but a bit lighter) and it is a dark dusty pink kind of shade. I love all the similar dust pink shades when it comes to clothing, homes etc. I also feel like this shade matches my complexion the best. It is pretty natural, similar to my natural lip colour, so I love wearing this on a daily basis without feeling that I'm wearing too much make-up. It's definitely my go-to- lipstick. Since it's a matte lipstick, it stays on for so many hours, even when I eat and drink- it is just amazing! Plus, again this is such an affordable piece that you can't go wrong with it!

Unfortunately, I get cold sores very often- sometimes once a month and it annoys me so, so much because they obviously leave behind scars, the pigmentation of the edges of my lips got very bad, so that I have "pink lip parts" missing and they are just white, so it is pretty hard to put on lipstick, without leaving out those white bits. For that reason I decided to get a lip liner that will match most of my lipsticks and to use it and I have to say that it actually helps so much! I never overdraw my lips, I don't want to make them look bigger, just more defined. And it works great! The lipliner from Golden Rose is shade 53 and it is apparently waterproof ( it really stays on for a long time).
It is retractable, which makes it all even better!

And the last product in my July Favourites is the Collossal Go Extreme! Volum' Express Leather Black mascara from Maybelline. ( I hate such long names of make-up products.) I also already wrote about it here when I first got it.
I've been using it all the time since buying it and it makes my lashes so long and it dosn't clump them together, but still gives them enough volume. I was actually impressed because it definitely gives the same effect an expensive mascara would give you, so how amazing is that evenn?

Anyways, I don't want to make this post too long! I hope you got some good reviews and hopefully I helped you with some decisions ;)

Have a nice day everyone!
Also, make sure to check out my latest vlog!
