Girls Day Out

Today my housemate Ela and I went to town together as she needed some comfy shoes and me a white blouse for work. We went to Princes Street and popped in to Primark, Boots and Schuh.
Afterwards we also went to ASDA with her boyfriend and we did the usual grocery shopping.

Today I bought myself a pair of Mel's (FINALLY!), two towels, a small purse for lose change, a small flower crown for buns, the white blouse for work and we decided to get some Soap&Glory stuff together.
Boots has currently the 3 for 2 offer on Soap&Glory products and we just decided that we'd buy three things and we would use them together, so we would save up even more.
We spent quite a while there because we just couldn't decide on what to buy. In the end we went for the Sugar Crush body scrub, Sugar Crush body wash and the Glad Hair Day hair conditioner.

We haven't tried any of these products yet, but they all smell SOO GOOD that we just can't wait to use them.

The Glad Hair Day is a hair conditioner in a 250ml bottle and it is said to detangle, gloss, protect and strengthen your hair. As it is quite a big bottle I think that we won't use it that quickly because I always use just a small amount of conditioner for my hair and Ela has even shorter hair than mine.

The Sugar Crush body scrub contains brown sugar, sweet lime, almond oil and macadamia grains. It smells exactly like a lime sorbet ( for example the one I had in Poland from Zielona Budka). This is a 300ml packaging so we should also have this for some weeks at least because we won't use it every day obviously. I am really excited about this product because my skin needs some help anyways at the moment until my new scrub arrives.

And the third product we chose is the body wash from the Sugar Crush range and we just took the same scent like the one from the scrub because it is so amazing. We also thought about buying a body butter from this range but then we decided that we should better get a hair product instead.

If you are curious about how our new little babies work then I can write a review about them, and I can also write Elas's opinion on them for you, after we've used them for some weeks.

Hello, beauties!

Snacking And Checking Out The Area

Well, so here in the UK there are so many more different snacks than in Austria that I don't even know what to try and what not and we just always end up with some new sweets in our cupboard after every grocery shopping. I mean, I really like sweets and I could probably survive without any other food if I wanted to.
Today is a stormy day, the skies are grey and it is raining a bit. Not a day you'd enjoy walking around town or something. Although in the morning we wanted to go to the beach as it was sunny and only a bit windy. But it got worse every minute basically. So I've been sitting in my bed, playing Geometry dash, doing crosswords, baking muffins later on and now cooking. We actually did go for a walk some time ago and it wasn't cold, but really really windy. Oh, and by the way, we found out that the Edinburgh Airport is not that far away from where we live. You can actually see the tower and we were watching planes land! So cool! We were just generally checking out the area and it was a nice walk.
Back at home the snacking continued.

Does your country sell this? Well, Austria surely doesn't. But it actually isn't the best, it is too sweet in my opinion, and no, it doesn't taste like 7up at all. But it's pinky.

This is how the weather looks like now, not too pretty.

But this is how it looked like when we went for a walk, not too bad!

CAN YOU SEE THE PLANE LANDING? It's above the field behind the house. It fascinated me too much I think. I love planes.

Princess flowers!

Nr. 1: Special K Biscuit Moments- ok, but nothing special, won't buy again.

Nr. 2: Rowntree's Fruit Gums: very jelly-like and fruity, will buy again.

Oh, and this is what I bought yesterday at ASDA. I've never seen this in Austria before. It is really tasty and my favourite Philadelphia for sure. And it has a turquoise packaging.

Also, I am just having a nice warm cup of tea and waiting for the cake to de-frost.

Can't wait! Where are my chocolate-chicas? :(

I am now off to the bed again to continue solving my crosswords and watching videos or something.
Have a nice evening everyone!

Non-Beauty Favourites: July

Alright, yesterday I showed you the beauty products I loved using in July. Today you'll see all the other things I've been totally obsessed with lately.

As I've moved to Scotland recently, I first needed to find out what drinks, snacks and so on I'd like. When I went to ASDA, Sainsbury's, Co-Operative, Scotmid or TESCO there were always ALL kinds of Coca Cola, Pepsi, Fanta, Sprite and Irn Bru. All kinds of fizzy drinks. But there is no Nestea anywhere. No not-fizzy drinks apart from Orange juice and Apple juice. At least I haven't found any other yet, only the Innocent juices which I keep buying. In Vienna I also liked Emotion flavoured water and I could drink it every day (even though it's fizzy). And now I thought that maybe I could find some flavoured water here and this is what I found. Actually the only brand that probably makes flavoured water here. The Volvic volcano water is not fizzy (which is great!) and there are some different flavours you can choose from. I have already tried strawberry, lemon, cherry and the summer fruit one. I also have another bottle in the cupboard, which is lemon and lime. I totally like this water and I am happy that I've found something else apart from Innocent juice and bottled Starbucks Frappucino that I can drink often. Soon we're actually off to ASDA again and as we're going by car we can get some more bottles! Woop!

Also, as it is summer, I always wanted to have cool sunglasses, but I don't really like wearing them because my face just looks weird with them I think. But some time ago I just randomly found these in Marks&Spencers and I thought they were so cute that I just bought them. They are not totally round so I don't even know what these sunglasses are called, but I surely like them a lot. They are in a pinky bubblegum colour and go well with most of my outfits. I also think that they are very summery and make a cool statement. Also, they were totally reduced and I only paid for them 2,40 pounds- total bargain!

And again, there are no normal rolls in the UK as I realised. Everything is toasted or to be baked or something. And this is quite difficult because sometimes I'd like to eat a fresh roll from the bakery. But lately Eryk bought me these and I am so happy. I just totally love these sandwiches! I toast them for some seconds and eat them with whatever I want and they always taste good! Well, now that I think that these are healthier than crumpets I'm going to buy more of them!

Also, I love eating fruits and in Vienna I always had bananas, strawberries and watermelon. Now here, I can't really find watermelons, and we always have strawberries in the fridge anyways, but I decided to go for grapes because I thought that maybe Eryk would like some. But in the end it turned out that I really like them, especially because they are seedless and not annoying to eat. They are maybe not great for porridge, but they are cool for snacks.

I got the same cup in April from ASDA and I just totally loved it because it is so small and just so girly. I've had it for some days and some time after I left Scotland Eryk told me that it fell out of the cupboard and that it was smashed now. I was so sad because of that because I enjoyed drinking out of it so much but I was sure we could get another one from ASDA this time. I've been to ASDA on my own and couldn't find it so I already wanted to buy a different one from Tkmaxx but didn't really find one I'd like. And just some days later we went to ASDA again and Eryk found the last one somewhere in a corner on sale and he just grabbed it and I was so happy! Well, so this is my favourite mug ladies and gentlemen, if you ever wondered.

Now I wear skirts and dresses very often. But sometimes I just want to wear a jumper on colder days for example and I didn't have jeans I felt good in. And when I was in town some time ago I went to Warehouse, even though I've never been there before, and wanted to get some black jeggings. But instead I found these lighter ones and I just think the colour is so cool (it looks a bit different in the photo, they are actually more blue) and they are also high waisted, and I wanted to try on such jeggings for a longer time already. When I found my size, I tried them on and fell in love with them. They have a zip on the left side and are veeeery slim, just exactly how I like jeans or jeggings to be. And for 20 pounds I just decided to get them because in winter and windy days I won't be wearing skater skirts all the time.

And now, the last thing that is one of my favourites. They are the belgian white chocolate biscuits/cookies that you can get from Co-operate or Scotmid and also Sainsbury's.
They are the most amazing thing in the world! They are so soft and a bit sticky on the inside and the chocolate is just so tasty! There are 4 of them in the bag and they cost 1,65, so they're not too cheap, but I keep buying them every second day or so, so that I always have them at home.
If you live in the UK and haven't tried them before, you totally should, and if you don't live in the UK,.. well, that's really bad!

Monthly Beauty Favourites: July

This months slowly comes to an end and as always at this time I'm showing you all the products I loved using during this month, to show you new products you would maybe enjoy and so on.

The first thing is my sugar scrub from Bielenda. This is a Polish product and when I saw it in a magazine I just knew I needed it. So once I saw it in a shop, I got it and I have been really happy with it. As my skin got extremely dry over the last two months (and I mean REALLY dry!) I needed a really good scrub and now I can say that this surely is one. It has an amazingly refreshing smell ( actually you can chose from peach, raspberry and cherry, I have the cherry one obviously), it is pink and after using it, it leaves a slightly greasy layer on your skin, which is basically moisturising and not greasy any more once you dried your skin with a towel. Your skin is surprisingly smooth and soft afterwards.
(Just to show you what I mean by dry)

I actually used quite big portions at first but soon I realised that you don't even need much of the scrub to get your skin a better look and now my scrub is nearly empty, which makes me sad. But today I asked Eryk's sister Karina, who is still in Poland, to get me another one, so I should have a new scrub in August.

The next one is also a Polish product as you can see. It is a shower gel from Joanna and it smells like spicy gingerbread- and this is seriously not lying, it REALLY does smell like gingerbread. This is basically why I bought it, because even though it's summer, I just needed it because the smell is just amazing. The colour of it is not the best, but the smell is! It is in a smaller bottle, only 200 ml if I'm not wrong. and is handy to carry around while travelling or something. I won't use it for a long time you know, but it was worth buying it.
If I've seen this product again while being in Poland in the near future, I would most likely buy it again, but I know other shower gels that I would also love to try here in the UK, so once I've finished off this one, I'll need to get another new interesting shower gel.

Next we have my Bioderma face cleanser, which I also bought in Poland but already back in February. I just love how quickly this "micelle solution for combination or oily skin" takes off my make-up without irritating my skin. It works nicely with my skin type and I enjoy using it at the moment. I already had a big bottle of this one and I was very satisfied with it from the beginning. Also, as you can see, this one is coming to an end and I already have a new cleanser in my closet waiting for being used. It is not a Bioderma, but another one which I have already had and which I would totally compare to the Bioderma as it is just as good as this one in my opinion.

As it is summer and I want to get a nice tan as quickly as possible, as long as the sun is shining, I bought this tan intensifying spray from Ziaja ( also a Polish product) and I just apply it before tanning to my body. It is oily and I always like to take a shower after tanning, but it smells like cocoa butter and it also helps the tanning process. As it is so oily it also moisturises your skin, which isn't too bad because you don't really want the sun to dry out your skin, right? I got this bottle in the beginning of July, which means that I've had it for nearly a month now and I need to say that it sadly is nearly empty, or at least it sometimes seems like it. I've been using it every single time I went out into the sun and this was quite often, so I also shouldn't complain about it getting empty. It is a good product and I'd use it every summer without hesitating.

This body mist from AVON is my summer must-have. I bought it last summer before going to Scotland and I just loved using it every single time. It smells like cherries and is very delicate, not like a heavy perfume. It is perfect for hot summer days, and that's the reason why I like having this in my bag. If you feel like you need something to feel fresh again, just use this. It will cool your skin down a bit from all the heat and it will give you a really nice and delicate smell. And as most of the above shown products, this one will also be empty in some weeks most likely, which makes me really sad because I would love to buy another bottle, but I first need to get in touch with an AVON representative, who hopefully will help me buying this life saver. This also is a 100 ml bottle, which means that you could even take it on a plane if you wanted, how cool is that?!

Now we have a hair product. It is the Schwarzkopf got2b il-liscious styling oil. It contains argan oil, which is very good and it is another lifesaver for me. The ones who know me, and my hair, will also know that it gets frizzy when I blow dry it or when it dries on its own. There is sadly no other way out. Now that my hair is freshly cut and REALLY healthy because there are finally no split ends at all, it shouldn't be frizzy anymore. But it still is because I had such terrible hair loss over the last couple of months that now all the hair is growing back and this means that I have baby hair and some longer baby hair everywhere on my head. And these ones look so frizzy and burnt, even though they are not! So this product is just amazing to deal with my hair. I just get a pump of it on my finger and spread it on my hands, I apply it to my hair all over my head and my hair is sleek. Of course there are still some bits that don't want to stay sleek, but it definitely looks better than without the oil. You need to be careful with such oils though as they can make your hair look greasy very easily. Always start with a tiny amount of it and better leave it the way it is than applying too much of it and having greasy and very shiny hair.

Then we have my favourite lipstick from Golden Rose I got in Poland earlier this month. I've read about this lipstick on a blog before and I never knew where to find them in Poland, but then I saw that Karina got one and the next day I went to the same shop and also got one myself. She actually has a slightly darker colour, because she has Nr. 14 and I have Nr. 12, but I think that both of them look gorgeous! A thing that is not too good about it, are the golden letters on the packaging, which somehow faded and I didn't even know when.

It is a lipstick from the Velvet Matte collection and I wanted to get myself more of them (and also Nr. 14, but it was sold out already), but the other shades were to granny-like in my opinion and I just went for this one only in the end.

I am totally in love with this colourful, but still delicate berry shade and it doesn't look too dark on your lips, which I also think is very nice. I really enjoy wearing this lipstick on a daily basis even and I will seriously be sad if I won't find it anymore anywhere one day.

And the last thing for today is this handy pack of wet refreshing wipes I always had in my bag. It is amazing while travelling! The night before we left Poland Eryk badly burnt his hand so that we even went to the hospital and so on. The doctors wrapped made him a bandage and we needed to change it the next day. And the next day we spent on the coach actually and I didn't want to get some bacteria into the wounds and it was just perfect having these wipes in my bag so that it was safer touching his hands after using the wipes. And just in general, you might need some of these in town when you make your hands dirty or I don't know. I need to find some new ones because they are not a bad idea!

So these were my favourite products of July and of some earlier times as well.

To find out what else I liked this month, come back the next days because I will also upload a non-beauty favourites post for you!

Second Scotland Haul

Today I went to town again because I needed to exchange some money, but of course I went to the shops as well. I needed black shoes and a bikini, so I got these things, but I also got a crop top and another dress. I still need some other things but I can't find them and this really drives me crazy, but I will find them, I will.

I only took some pictures of the clothes to show you what I got, but I didn't take any pictures wearing them. I will just upload OOTD's with the things and maybe link them to this post.

When I arrived in town there were so many clouds and it even started raining a bit, but soon the sun came out and the sun was so hot that I was sweating in my cardigan and jeggings.

Did you know that there are mountains everywhere around Edinburgh? I think they look really spectacular somehow.

Alright, I bought myself some Vans Authentic Lo Pro -again! I need black shoes for work and I didn't want to wear flat ballets or Converse with a thick white rubber sole, so I decided it was time to get another pair of these beauties!
( OMG THE ICE CREAM VAN IS SOMEWHERE AROUND AND I DON'T KNOW WHERE! I CAN ONLY HEAR IT! :( )
I know these shoes already and I loved wearing them even with dresses and skirts because they are more girly than the Authentic ones for example. I thought these would be appropriate for work because they are totally black, very simple and very comfortable. I bought them in Schuh, just as the exact same pair I got in August last year.

It is summer and I don't have a bikini (really!). I kept tanning in my underwear or a crop top and shorts or something. But Eryk and I want to finally start going swimming as often as possible and I just can't swim in my underwear, right? So now, after days of looking out for a nice bikini, I found these two pieces in New Look.

The bra is a white crochet one, which I was dreaming of basically. I was always dreaming of wearing a white bikini and being super tanned. I mean I am not super tanned, but it is ok! It is a normal triangle shaped bikini that you tie around your neck and on your back, which I really like because it fits always! It also has a bit stronger cups, which I also like because I feel more comfortable.

The panties I got are black in the back and black with a watermelon print in the front. I am obsessed with watermelons and when I saw this on the webpage I knew I needed this! The colours are really bright and I think the panties look really cute and also quite nice paired with the white bra.

I then got a white loose crop top from River Island with two shells which are "hiding" your boobies. I thought this was a fun idea, although I wasn't sure if it isn't offensive or something. But I think that it is a cool shirt for summer, for the beach or just to wear with some high waisted jeans or even a top underneath, with a skirt or with a dungaree dress.

And the last thing I got is this dress. I wasn't sure if this was a good idea but in the end I just went for it. I had these when I was little and I always liked them so now I thought: why not? I hope that it is not too old school or something because I wanted to wear it with a plain shirt or even with the "mermaid" top underneath. I was also thinking of wearing this dress in autumn with black tights and a cosy jumper underneath. I also like the colour and just the idea of it in general.

It has a pocket on the chest, two pockets lower in the front and two pockets on the bum.

On bought sides you find these little helpers that help you get into your dress!

Well, these were all the things I got today, I am happy and I hope that you enjoyed this post!
I will upload OOTD's as I said, so don't worry, you'll see the clothes on me. (Maybe not the bikini though!)

I am now off to eat some snacks before picking up Eryk from work because I only ate porridge and some sweets today and it is already past 8!

Have a nice evening and see you next time!
